LOL. You have no idea how accurate your statement is. Last year I effortlessly passed a Corvette Z06 at a DE event at Watkins Glen. The Z06 had well over 200 HP more than the car that I was driving. So after we completed our laps the Z06 driver came over and talked to me, and the first thing that he talked about was engine mods to increase his car's HP.

One of the benchmarks I used to judge my improvement as a driver in my 255 hp 986 S, was when a well driven Miata stayed in my rear view mirror.

As for the Vettes, they are potent weapons if driven well. Otherwise, at Sebring, it’s not uncommon for me to be on the bumper of one at turn 17 after giving a half mile head start point by at exit of turn 16.

Corvettes and especially the Z06 is truly a potent weapon in the hands of an experienced driver, but it takes a lot of time and skill to master a 650 HP car. Of course all of the computer aids help relatively inexperienced drivers negotiate tracks in a semi-safe fashion.

Amen.

Another gem: "Any car which holds together for a whole race is too heavy."

Excellent! Took me 20sec to fully get it.

But, you will have to first finish before you can finish first! May be it can fall apart (or run out of fuel!) after crossing the finish line!

If the NSX is part of the testing fleet, gets interesting, for 992. It is expected to get a version with electric powertrain in 992.2 cycle. The Instagram poster commented GT4 didn't sound like flat-4 (guessing he meant flat-4 turbo). A good sign; soon we could confirm what we already know!

Nothing that I've seen, and I've been following pretty closely. There DOES seem to be increased buzz about Geneva...though this seems way to soon to me. Would love to be wrong though...

Geneva this year seems unlikely. Porsche will present the GT3 RS, already, and maybe the 991 Speedster. As 718 Cayman and Boxster are now launched at the same time, this would mean 2 other new models, which is probably a bit too much, even for Porsche. However, an official presentation at the Paris Show this Autumn is a realistic option, I guess.

I agree with this. I am already planning out a euro delivery for next year and intend to swap my 981 Spyder out esp if it's not a turbo motor.

I don't believe there's been any spy shots of the rumored Speedster. However, the GT4 and Spyder have been seen multiple times. The last GT4 was co-announced along with the GT3RS at Geneva.

You're right, but according to my local dealer, you can already put a deposit for the 991 Speedster, but not for the future Spyder nor the GT4. Maybe that's a special process due to the fact the Speedster will be a limited edition, which is not the case for the two other models. Regarding the presentation at Geneva, the issue is that, due to the new positioning of the Boxster / Cayman range, Porsche might well launch the next GT4 and Spyder at the same time...
