Sorry, but I don't believe this so-called interview is current. It may have been published in Pistonheads recently, but the time of the actual interview is probably no later than the early part of 2011!
That was, of course, my first impression as well. However, Autosport was indeed last week, and held in conjunction with a PistonHeads.com sponsored event, so it would make sense that they interviewed him recently. Perhaps they cut/pasted the wrong interview? That said, driving impressions 918 and discussion of the PDK-only GT3 seem current...

i think he was referring to ordering one from new in the past. It was probably misunderstood or he wasn't clear enough. You can't actually order a 981 spyder like you can't order a 991 RS. You can express your interest in one though.
