Default Just Picked up a 981 Cayman S...

I began working at a Porsche dealership here in NJ in mid July. I have driven almost every model car currently available and I decided to trade in my 01 996 C4 Tip in for a car. Initially I fell in love with a 991 C4S, but after some more seat time in a base Cayman, I knew that the Cayman was the way to go.

We had two launch vehicles, cars that are optioned by Porsche NA and given to each dealership at launch time. We had a red 6sp base Cayman that and a black PDK Cayman S that was a demo/test drive car. The red 6sp sold and the black PDK S had been sitting since spring.

After a few weeks of consideration, I decided to trade in the 996 for the Cayman S.

Here is the equipment on the car:

2014
Black/Luxor Beige
Cayman S
20 inch Sport Classic Wheels
PDK
Sports Chrono
PASM
Sport Design Steering Wheel
14 way seats

The cars MSRP is$83,110 and I got it for less than invoice.

Things I plan on adding to the car:
-clear sidemarkers (already on the car)
-red seatbelts
-spacers to push the wheels out flush
-maybe ss brake lines
-maybe some intake/exhaust work

for now I am LOVING this car.

Here are some quick iPhone pics. Definitely will have a proper photoshoot this weekend.

driving to work has never been so much fun.

Very nice!

Town Motors?

I am pretty sure I drove that launch car when it came it. It was optioned very nicely.

I ended up buying elsewhere for various reasons but Town treated me really well.

Congratulations on upgrading to a midengine Porsche.

If Steve McQueen were around today, he'd be driving a Cayman S or a Boxster Spyder if the weather were nice.

Look forward to seeing the Cayman/Boxster GTS.

since you work for the dealer can confirm or deny that the 981 will be able to "Paint to Sample" soon?
