At Eduardo... any idea how the True Blue on speedsters, Voodoo Blue and Turquoise Blue compare? I recall seeing a posting on Rennlist which showed Turquoise Blue against True Blue and they appeared to be virtually identical. I get the sense but do not have a side by side comparison that Voodoo Blue is somewhat darker.
Do you mean this photo? That's Edgy01's 'Turquoise' against a 'True Blue' Speedster in Montecito, California! Just a tad different ('True' appears darker) but pretty damn close! I never seen 'Voodoo' in person yet. But I think it's darker still! You can't order 'True Blue' in any case from Porsche (it's proprietary to that Speedster model!), so we don't have to worry to much about it!

So does that mean if one wanted a PTS car in Azurro Blue it would not be possible since that color is proprietary to the Club Coupe 997S?

Interestingly, that color Azurro California Metallic (code 3F3) has been approved for the current Panamera but there are 'question marks' for the 981 or 991! Which means apparently no one has asked for it, so there is no feasibility study for that color on those two other models.
I can't see how they would allow that color on a 991, especially in the US, since the PCA 50th Anniversary edition was done is a similar hue! But maybe PCA doesn't have the same 'standing' as their proprietary MY2012 'Speedster' model, of which they built around 356. Another color they won't do is 'Sport Classic Grey' and they only built 250 of those!
My latest accounting shows 4 Mexico Blue 981's and 2 Riviera Blue 981's.
Hoffman's has a Mexico Blue (I think that's the color) and Sunset has a Riviera Blue for sale.
Texas Mexico Blue seems to have been sold.
I don't know the status of Rahal's Riviera Blue?
I know the other two Mexico Blue 981's are not going anywhere soon.
Either Mexico or Riviera Blue are just classic and I don't know of any other PTS 981's in Blue.-Richard
"They use to be very rare and something the true purists only valued but now they are everywhere it seems! That's what, 3-4 981's so far in that color?"
What's a "true purist" and how do you define "rare"?
Do you have any more photos of that car? I did a Google search and found nothing.
Any idea what it sold for?
I do not know what it sold for nor do I have more pics. Sorry. It was ordered for the customer and I believe they were delivering it at a race. Do not remember when it was last year. Picture has been on my phone for awhile. Great looking color on a 4.0.
