Deconstructing the 981 Boxster
From changing air filter, to spark plugs, to belts, and putting top in service position... pretty good video. After watching this... I'm not sure if 981 is more complicated to work on, as a DIY'er.

What is really interesting is in some ways the Boxster is now easier to maintain than a 991. To change the air filter on the 991, you need to remove the rear bumper. Actually, to do pretty anything on the engine in a 991 you have to remove the rear bumper. Good video. Thanks.

Another nail in the 991 coffin, ref 10 GT3. With the new 991 GT3 basically sharing the same engine as the 981, why pay double the price on a car that is inferior (or at least not superior) to the 991? And the new Boxster and Cayman look so much better too!

I think the new Boxster is the best looking Porsche ever designed in Stuttgart. Not digging the new Coxster at all. Boxster gets a sharper front end, but it is really the back end where the Coxster disappoints. It is the hatch shape from the back that looks completely out of place. For looks, the 991 edges the Coxster for me, but neither hold a candle to the Boxster. New GT3 is still going to get a lot more power, bigger brakes and a lot better suspension components. Hence performance wise the 981 is certainly not going to be able to keep up. Comparing the 981 S to the 991 Carrera on the other hand, there is simply no way I could justify spending the dollars on the Carrera when it doesn't provide any better performance.
