Default Return to Boxster...

Just saying HI... some may remember me by the old Screen name "FELKER".. On the Porsche Pete's Boxster Board..

Placed an order for a 981S and now wait. It's been 14 1/2 years since the last order and the anticipation.. Some of you might remember that I had the "right red" back then...

Aqua Blue/Black Leather should be here in 2.5 months, as a nice Christmas present and look forward to rejoining the Boxster crowd..

Any recommendation on ordering, as I have a few days to change.

Boxster S, Manual Trans
Aqua Blue /Black leather/black
14w Sports Seats, 20" Wheels
Painted Ext, Int, Roll bar
Prem Pack, Infotainment (PCM) Pack
PASM, Steering Plus, Sports Chrono
Light Design, Park Sensors Front and rear, Folding mirrors, heated Multifunc Steeringwheel, Voice, Red Belts and WAIT FOR IT...
..

......... SPORTS EXHAUST!

Pictures from the configurator...

Congrats on the new purchase.

The Porsche configurator is one of the worst that I've ever seen. You would think that Porsche could spend the time/money to get this right. Then again with all the custom options I guess it could be difficult to show everything accurately.

You got the one option that I feel is essential, the PSE.

congrats! It will be a stunner in Aqua! I think I would like the wheels painted a dark grey too.... but that is just me being greedy.

Does anyone have a complete list (maybe PDF) of the options for the 981?

Best,

Matt

I got the ventilated seats. They are an option that now that I have them I wouldn't want to go back to non-ventilated.

Also, the stock exhaust on my base 981 sounds much better than I expected, so you might want to drive one first and see if you like it before spending $2,800 for PSE.

my 981S non PSE exhaust is as charismatic and as loud as PSE on was in my RS60 Spyder.

981 sound is more mechanical, and more air cooled sounding too.

Plus, non PSE sound is honest and pure, with no quiet bits at town speeds.
