Default 981 Forum?

I checked out the Porsche website last night and saw the new 981 (sporting 20" wheels) on the homepage.... Wow, that looks really good!

Any talk on Rennlist of a 981 forum?

Also - what do you guys think of the car? I had been planning to pick up a 987 Spyder as my DD next fall, but am now very interested in a 981S with 20s... Perhaps Euro delivery...

I have to agree! Though very excited about the prospect of a 991 GT3. Lets hope it doesn't look like a street-tuner took liberties!

991 gets it's own forum, but 981 gets snubbed... no respect.

I like it, agreed much better than the 991 in appearance, looks great in yellow!

No doubt when they release the Cayman it will be great too.

We are discussing about some changes for the Boxster / Cayman forums.

Stay tuned.

Btw the new car looks great, and I have to admit that I like it more than the 991.

The launch car will out mid to end of april....the first deleveries by june...the S version wont be available until fall...thats the scoop from my sales guy...there summer allotment is already sold out so they are now taking orders for late fall. The demand is picking and and allotments are low. They are expecting big demand after people see and drive the car. I was told that waiting lists up to a year plus could materialize , esp. if porsche doesnt significantly ramp up NA production. This for a car that they had trouble moving off the lots { spyder excepted , of course } over the past several years.....

My order was placed on 2-20-12 for a silver S. Order status is now MFGCNF for a May build. Looking for a June-July to be in my driveway.

Scylcle .. thanks.. called my dealer.. looks like he still has 2 spots (allocation) .. and that is it !..
pecora.. congrats.. Im thinking of doing the same.. well wil be my wife's car as I have my own..

we are thinking the following build :

98132 - Boxster
G0 - Anthracite Brown Met
P90 - Infotainment Package
P93 - Convenience Package
6V - Convertible Top Brown
MET - Metallic Paint
636 - ParkAssist (Front and Rear)
748 - Electrically Folding Exterior Mirrors
P13 - Automatically Dimming Interior and Exterior M
XLF - Sport Exhaust System
423 - 20inch Carrera S Wheel
XD9 - Wheels Painted in Exterior Colour
CNG - Rear Apron Painted

not sure.. if any other option would be worth while.. was fun to build the car however..

very exciting... for her and for me on the occasional top town drive ..!
