Default ThinkDiag+ Changes

I bought the ThinkDiag+ dongle on Amazon, and then a cheap prepaid $40 Tracfone Blu 5 Android phone at BestBuy which I will never use other than for the car.

A little bit difficult to figure out at first, and you have to update the Porsche download every day (What?), but that only takes about 30 seconds. The number of settings is incredible!

-Today I managed to change the car so that I can have the windows roll up or down with the key fob buttons. Then I changed the coolant temperature gauge to reflect the ACTUAL values, rather than be a simple idiot light that nearly always says 194 degrees F. This last was a bit of an eye opener, I drove my '14 CS this afternoon and this car runs fairly warm when moving through residential streets at posted speeds. More on this later.

AND I managed to change the speed that the rear spoiler comes up from 74 mph to 62 mph. That one I am still working on, I want 48 mph and going down around 20 mph. Didn't have time to experiment, the car refused to be changed to less than 100 km/h. There is another setting for 80 km/h? I suspect this is some sort of "arming" speed. It refused to take the opening speed if this other speed was within 20 km/h. I'm going to change this lower speed tomorrow and see what happens.

Next: GT3 steering program, and I need to inspect the settings for the oil temperature, since I suspects it lies as well. I have a few other ideas.....But I need to experiment a bit.

Have fun with the Thinkdiag+. I purchased one this summer also to install a PSE. I have also been messing around with some other settings. I hope you figure out the rear spoiler speed and the GT3 steering and post how you did it. I would like to do those also.

If you come up with a setting, do the same, post it here.

Thank you.

I am getting closer to get one soon.
Did you use battery charger while coding?
Thinkcar said that only the OBD functions will work after 1 year service if software subscription is not renewed.

This link is to a pdf with a boatload of codes. It believe they were done/tested on a 917 but are compatible to other gens.
