Curious on opinions with the 2013 981 BS I ended up with.

$33k, 61K miles. Great service history. Not so great accident history (3-5 years ago, 3 accidents. 2 minor front, 1 medium front and rear).

Options and a few more details below. Had the car for a week and been very happy with it. Just hope I didnt over pay based on it was the color I was after. I guess either way, not losing sleep over it. Cant say I'm not enjoying the car.

Details:
New Pilot Sport 4s all 4 corners
Pads look new, rotors look ok
Tubi exhaust installed by previous owner (I believe non-"loud" version)

Options:
Price: $75,065.00
Exterior: Aqua Blue Metallic
Interior: Platinum Grey partial lthr sts
250 Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
423 20-inch Carrera S wheel
446 Wheel center caps with colored Porsche Crest
541 Seat ventilation
546 Supplemental safety roll-bar painted in exterior color
583 Smoking package
630 Light Design Package
635 ParkAssist (rear)
980 Leather Package
CS Leather package with partial leather seats Platinum Grey
D2 Aqua Blue Metallic
P91 Infotainment Package with BOSE® Surround Sound System
P93 Convenience Package
XDM Dashboard trim strips painted
XYG Center console trim painted

I would say that is a pretty decent deal for a S model. There are 2 problems I see here: 1. Are the accidents really minor 2. I think the biggest problem you will face in the future is to find a customer for a call with this many accidents. If you don't have any major frame damages and all the accidents were cosmetic damages only, I don't think you have overpaid at all.

I'm open to selling my 981 GTS. It's Carmine Red, PDK, very heavily optioned, PPF and ceramic, only 8k miles, in north NJ. I can be reached via PM here on rennlist or text at 201-970-9358 if anyone wants more info/pics. Thanks

To add on to what others have said about the torque gain with the 3.4L, imo PDK vs. manual also makes a big difference on engine preference. PDK works with both engines but it really comes alive with a bigger/stronger engine; if he's getting PDK I would get the S. I test drove multiple base 981s before I bought my S, and to me the 2.7L's relative lack of torque made the PDK's shifts less thrilling. The other issue is that most base 981s are stripper cars so they lack niceties like Sport Chrono, Sports Exhaust, Bose, etc. S cars are generally better-optioned so there's a higher chance he'll find an S with the options he wants.

Related to the thread topic, I found a higher-mileage but well-specced Boxster S (only really missing PSE). Price is a bit high for the miles but it's rare to find a 981 with PTV, PASM, and Sport Chrono.

Yeah, that's an interesting car. 4/12 manufacturing date suggests it was one of the very first to roll off the line. Age and mileage are high, top looks like hell, but the interior seems to be in excellent shape, noting that they don't show the door panels. (Edit: the driver's side does show some lift in one of the photos...)

Seems underpriced to me. A thorough PPI would be called for, but if it doesn't uncover any issues, that car looks like a great bargain. Must be more to the story. ("Fleet use"?)

How does this price look? I test drove the car and it looks to be in great condition at a reputable dealership.

It is ok but not a crazy deal. The car had 4 owners and very base options. If is a clean car and you can make sure all the services including the PDK service is done, I would try to negotiate it down a little and go for it.

If there was ever a Boxster that deserved a steering wheel facelift, this is it. Super gloss.

Found a nicely optioned example. Price seems good for the mileage/options, and no reported accidents.

https://www.foreignautoconnect.com/i...CB2A8XDS130109
2013 Boxster S
Price: 45,000
Mileage: 33,603
Exterior/Interior: Platinum Silver/Espresso

220 PTV
250 PDK
423 Carrera S wheel
475 PASM
604 Bi-Xenon Headlights with PDLS
640 Sport Chrono
844 Multi-function steering wheel
P06 14-way seats
P91 Infotainment Package with Bose
P94 Premium Package

A couple others just for fun:
https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...icle/723210470
2013 Boxster Manual, $30.9k, 52.9k miles. Has an aftermarket head unit and a backup camera. Decent price for a manual.

https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...icle/723048716
2013 Boxster PDK, $32k, 65.3k miles. Nothing going for it aside from the color (mahogany is very rare), though having the wheels also painted mahogany is a bit much.

@john981 Thanks for the reply on that 981. Unfortunately the car sold before I could get to it.
I found this 718 which looks very good with tons of options. How does it look? The carvana 7 day return seems legit from what I've read online.

This is a 4 cylinder 718. Different category of car. But even if you are ok with the 4 Cylinder, this is a 4 owners car with over 60k miles. The options are as base as it gets. I would not consider that a deal at all. Let me know what you are looking for and I can post here few proposals.
