I just placed an order for a quickjack. What is everyone that uses the quickjack using between the quickjack and the car? I got two of those hockey puck looking things, if I ordered two more would that work? or is something else better to use on the 981?

I use a set of four. One for each point. Order another set if you're planning on leaving them on the car by mistake and losing a couple out on the road (like I did).
I'm using the 2" lift blocks that came with the jack. That's about all that will fit under the front jacking point of my X73-equipped car with tires that are a half inch smaller in diameter than the OE tires. The blocks are enough to keep the car from directly contacting the jack frame, which is all that is required.

Yes, This. I forgot to mention that I use the 2" lift blocks that come with the QJ. I have PASM so the pucks will just get in there.
I bought their smaller 1.5" blocks during the holiday sale. Was going to try those paired w/ the lift pucks just as another option. Will report back in a day or two if it works. Otherwise, yea....as mentioned above ^^
LOL, I got 6 cars and work on all of them myself. This is the reason why I just ordered the quickjack. None of my cars in the last 20 years have seen a dealer or mechanic outside of warranty work.

Bought my QuickJack thru Costco.. Came with three sets of pucks. 3", 2" and 2.5" rail pucks (for cars with pinched rail jack points).
There's a QuickJack safety hack where you place your good ol' jack stands inside/underneath the QuickJack rails. A "just in case" safety measure. Just don't forget to remove them when lowering the car.
Also, go to Home Depot and get a graduated mixing bucket located in the tile section. Plenty of room under the car for the bucket when draining fluids and provides a reasonably accurate measure of the drain.
Coolest thing is you can start the drain and leave it for hours as needed 'till it stops completely. Love it!
Edit:
Oh and if you ever intend to remove any of the belly panels (underneath), remove the fasteners on the outside edges before going up on the QuickJack. Otherwise access to 'em is blocked by the QJ rails.

Just used one yesterday. We used the 2in blocks and then a hockey puck version that fits into the hole on the cayman on top of that. Worked with no issues.

Close! It was the smaller 1.5" blocks that we had on there paired to the hockey pucks. I didn't even try the 2" ones tbh
