Question 718 Wheels on 981

I have a 2013 Boxster S with the 20" Carrera S wheels, and I love the 20" Carrera Sport wheels commonly on the 718 Cayman GTS (Five spoke with Polished silver over black centers). Unfortunately, ALL OEM online sales of these specify for 718 only. I've written to their sales departments and they reply with:
"Sorry, we can't confirm fitment of these on anything except the 718's Porsche lists them for - retrofitting them to your vehicle would be at your own risk. We'd recommend checking with the folks online, such as on the Porsche forums, to see if anyone has tried this before - and what results they saw. Wheel sets are special order items that are non-returnable, so please try to confirm through others if this is something that will work on your vehicle."
So, that's what I'm doing. The only difference that I can. see is a 2mm difference in offset. Did the TPMS change from 981 to the 718?

Has anyone else run into this, and can you offer some advice please?

Thanks!

We have a precedence for 718 wheel fitment on a 981 in the 981 Spyder/718 GTS 4.0 wheels. These wheels are 20 x 8.5J ET57 and 20 x 10.5J ET 47 and I think most non-GT 718 car wheels are the same fitment. I can't see why they would not work on a 981 and in fact I have some 718 Style Edition wheels on the way to me. They are the same specs as above. Here is a photoshop of them on my car. I should have them on my car in a week or two.

Here is a 3D model I made of the Carrera Sport wheels I needed for the cutaway images.

Where did you order from? Do you got a part number? These are what I want also for my 2015 Cayman S

The TPMS sensors are different between the two series.

I have a set of 981 Sport Techno wheels on a 718 Boxster S and the fronts measured out identical, while there was a 5mm difference in the rears. A 5mm spacer made them look perfect. So assuming you don't get confused by the differences in the 718 line between the standard and Spyder/GTS offsets you'll be fine.
