Where do you put the hemholz? I had one on my BRZ and it worked well. But that car had a front pipe and mid pipe. Not much room between cats and muffler. I would love to try it. If I had a design I have a guy who could make things.

Hey anybody out there have a high-flow cat with the Carnewal / GT exhaust mod?
At some point next year I plan on switching to aftermarket headers with high-flow cats.
Mostly to open up the flow as much as possible.

Good luck getting a PSE. I had one on order from suncoast for 18 months and finally cancelled.
Glad you brought this topic up. I came close to getting carnewal when I first bought my BS 2 years ago then moved to the PSE. Think I'll go back to the carnewal now. The reviews are really good and their shop is 1/2 hour from my house.

2014 BS manual. Bought 3 years ago and installed Carnewal exhaust. No drone, great balanced sound, lots of compliments. A solid and cost effective choice unless you want "boy racer" sound.

I too wanted to buy the PSE for my Cayman S, but like everyone else, I am very disappointed that it is not available anymore. I have been looking for 2 years! It is good to hear that the Cornewel exhaust seems to not increase the drone effect. My question is for those who have made the switch from stock to Cornewel. How is the noise inside the car when cruising down the interstate at 3000 rpms? Is it any louder inside the car than with the stock exhaust? The car is loud already with the tire/road noise and I wouldn't want to add to that with more noise coming from the exhaust. But I would like something more aggressive sounding when shifting through the gears on a fun spirited drive. My thinking is that the PSE would be the ideal exhaust for this reason.

Update: Ordered the Carnewal GT Exhaust from Gert today. Should be installed in about 2 weeks. Fingers crossed I like it as much as everyone else seems to.
Thanks again for the input everyone! I will report back.

I have had the Cantrell exhaust for three years now and there is no drone. If I could make any changes I would have it slightly louder, like the PSE in loud mode. Good bang for buck, no pun intended~

Did you order through Cantrell and do the core swap option? If so, let me know how the whole process goes.

It shipped Monday, and arrived at my local shop here in Georgia 2 days later on Wednesday. I'm dropping the car off today for scheduled maintenance and exhaust install.

Well, bought a used PSE off of eBay and installed it. Valves open all the time, no switch or vacuum lines. I have to admit I really love it. But it does sound very similar to carnewal. My carnewal was one I did myself, cut open muffler and cut the pipe then rewelded muffler. I prefer the PSE but they are very close. My custom one only cost me $150 for used exhaust and $400 for the work. Probably gonna sell it for $550 locally. We will see. IMHO get the PSE if you want the valve to quiet things down a little. Not worried about some loudness get the carnewal. Can’t go wrong with either.
