Default $9,400.00 to replace warped door panels!!

Yeah yeah yeah I know.... Pedro. But man I had no idea. Here is the estimate for parts only. I was told to add $1,800.00 for labor to that total.

I can understand the pricing of the parts, but the freight and labour just don't make any sense.

The labour is downright hilarious, I've had the door panels off and back on in less than 15 minutes for both sides when I had the windows tinted, frankly that 1800.00 is insulting.

Someone wants to rip you off. I just checked online and you can a) buy the door panel for $2,355 each and b) only pay $110 for shipping. Saves you $2,500 right there if you really wanted to go that route.

I don't know how dealers can get away with stuff like this. Just came back from an Infiniti dealer yesterday, they said it would be $700 in labor to replace a small 4" coolant hose on my car.

It can be done in 30 minutes tops.

Had my driver's side door card replaced recently under CPO...4200. They claimed it was the shipping from Germany that upped the price.

That's the 'I don't wanna do it' price. I had mine done under CPO and I was only at the dealer for 2.5 hours, so I'm guessing a tech was on the car for maybe 2 hours...at their labor rate that would be around $500 of labor.

And for $1700 you can fly to Germany and pick them up yourself and fly home.

I recently upgraded my speakers and installed soundproofing in the doors and agree that it is a 15 minute job but there would be additional time involved to switching over the door pulls, lock release, window/memory switch, wiring, trim and Bose emblem from your original panels. Certainly not $1800 worth of labor but maybe an additional hour or two. The next issue is that the new panels use the same crap glue and will probably delaminate again. +1 for Pedro.

Geez, $9400 will actually buy a decent used car. That’s absolutely horrendous.

Fixed mine with double sided tape for $10 bucks. Is it perfect no, but it works.
