I just purchased a 2016 Carmine Red Cayman GTS. Bought it from a dealer in Baton Rouge and drove it 1,800 miles to bring it home. The drive was an adventure but the car was flawless.

Looks like a Mardi Gras Region PCA member's car. It went up for sale recently from a really good owner. PDK or I would have been on it like gravy on rice. Congrats on a really nice purchase.

Well done! I have a 2015 GTS and love it to bits. Enjoy - but beware that driving a Cayman GTS can cause severe facial pain due to the constant grin from ear to ear.

That is correct. He was great work with. He is now waiting for his 2022 Carmen GTS.

Sounds like a fun road trip. Stop at any interesting places along the way?

Welcome to the P car club. You will love the car everytime you drive it. i think the biggest feature on the car over others is the tail lights. It makes the rear of the car look more modern. I swapped my tail lights out on my GT4 to the GTS euro ones. Looks so much better.

I also got a cayman gts 4 months ago sapphire blue. I would just like to ask anyone who changed their stock brakes to a bigger one (380 or 350). Can you still install 19s rims?

Nice, I also picked up a '16 carmine red GTS this summer. Mine is 6MT with the silver 911 turbo wheels. Enjoy!

Why do you want to upgrade the brakes? Unless you want to convert to a dedicated track car the stock brakes with race pads and brake fluid are more than adequate for weekend DEs at the track. Most who track convert to Sebro slotted rotors.

It depends on the brake kit, but our 981 is running the PFC 380 brake kit on 18" Apex EC-7R wheels. Thus, I would assume most 380 kits will clear 19" wheels. The limiting factor in most cases on a 19" wheel would be caliper-to-spoke clearance, as opposed to caliper-to-barrel clearance.
