My understanding is that the PIWIS battery adaptation process is performed only so that the Auto Start/Stop feature is more efficient. Otherwise it is not necessary.

Good luck.

what is the best aftermarket tool to reset the battery? I have a Durametric from my 997s that I can use on one more vehicle, but I understand that will not reset the battery on 991s/981s.

Not OP, but I had the same set of error messages on my 2014 CS. A few days later the car began to misfire as well. The symptoms would not appear until the engine had warmed up.

As suggested by a couple of people above, it was a coil pack on cylinder 2 that was failing. Had that replaced and the spurious warnings and the misfires are gone now.
