Default Cascading fault codes

Wow! That is a lot of fault codes. My fav? Saying the heated steering wheel is not working. Funny thing - I do not have a heated steering wheel?
Any thoughts about what it could be? I am thinking probably causes: battery, need new coil packs / spark plugs. Any other ideas before I take it to the dealership and they tell me to bend over?

Crazy codes when the battery voltage drops. If it starts drive for 20 minutes might be a temporary solution. If you have a maintainer charge over night. COSTCO is a good source for Interstate but they don't install. Not too difficult DIY, stand in the frunk to lift the battery in and out.

The first of many "helpful" messages my car sent me when my battery started going south...

And if that doesnt clear it, then its likely one of the coil packs. Coil pack failures will throw every light and warning the cars has available, 99.9% of which has nothing at all to do with the actual problem. In my case it also dropped the PDK into 2nd gear on the highway and wouldn't shift up (limp mode)

+1 on the low cost Batteries + options. I have the same Batteries + battery referenced above, however mine is the smaller 750CCA H6, group 48 version which was the exact specs as the factory original it replaced. It was an exact drop in fit.

It's about to hit its 4 year warranty mark now, and is still going strong. I never coded it when I swapped it out, and have never coded any of my previous multiple P cars with battery changes over the years, or any of my other makes of cars as far as that goes. Never a single issue with longevity with any of them

Quoting from another thread
  • Porsche designed the 981/991 cars to handle either an H6, H7 or H8 Battery Size.
    • The Battery Tray is made to accommodate any of these 3 size batteries.
  • Many of the 991.1 & 991.2 Cars come with the H6 Battery Size from the factory.
  • If you change the Battery Size from your original, you should have the Cars Charging System Software updated so its knows the correct size battery and can charge the new, different size battery appropriately. Not doing this may shorten the new battery life.
Here's the H6 to avoid having to recode if that's what your car came with.

When I got the car a few months ago, the PO had just replaced the battery. I noticed the voltage was over 15v and I didn't like it. Turns out he replaced it with a flooded duralast battery (not agm) and also didn't code..I put H8 AGM and recoded.
