I've aligned my car after B16 Damptronic install and tracked it and it felt great. I'm advance driver in HPDE doing about 15 events a year. Is it worth going the extra distance and having it corner balanced and realigned? I also haven't settled on my final tire setup for this season, currently on work 245/40R18 275/40R18 RS-4. Should I wait untill I've go new tires an final sizes? Also how much fuel are most people going in with? I'd figure half a tank?
Does anyone have scales at the events/clubs you run with? It's easy enough to roll up and see where you're at. If you're crosses are within a percent you're prob good. Ideally less of course. If you're over that, def get it done. FWIW, my stock car on X73 (nonadjustable) suspension has a 50.5% cross weight stock.
You should do it in the config where performance matters most. So you should have your driver weight in the car, any ballast or remove any items you wouldn't track with, and prob half a tank of gas. Tires don't matter.
It really a waste of time to corner weigh a car with soft bushings. The car won't stay in balance when you have a lot of deflection when you're loading up in the corners. Additionally, you need the ability to adjust each corner independently to achieve the 50% crossweight.
