Car coming from Arizona. They actually offered to deliver it 3 days later, so I don’t think there was anything that serious. I just wasn’t available to accept delivery on the new proposed day, so I had to push it to the 31st.

Bought my 14' Cayman from Carmax, including a warranty extension 4 Years ago with 27k miles on it, pretty much only by specs and pictures. Flew to Mobile Alabama on my way back from the UK, paid and drove it home. No issues, put 50k miles on it since, the car was as advertised and pictured.

We just bought my wife’s 15 cayman S from carvana. We traded her 2016 Macan S in on it. We were given a really strong trade offer of almost $37k. The car was transported in from California. The car was pleasantly in very nice condition. The previous owner had paint protection film installed, and the car also appeared to already have a ceramic coating… huge score for us! It was delivered with the oil slightly overfilled though. I jacked it up and took about a half a quart out and all is well. We are completely blown away by the condition of the car, especially for it having 65k miles on it.

I sold a BMW 335 to carvana and it was in great condition and super well maintained. Only problem was that it was a first year production car built out of the SA plant and was one of the worst built cars I have ever witnessed. Next car was a Model 3 and by comparison it felt like it was built by the swiss, which should give you an idea of just how bad that BMW was.

We recently picked up a 2019 GTI from Carmax and traded our Crosstrek. So far, very happy with the description, condition etc. and also the car itself, which makes a great stablemate to the Cayman. (It's a manual Autobahn version but was priced the same as SE models.)

Got my 981 delivered today. Of course it’s on summer tires and there is 2 inches of slush on the roads - not ideal. I did crawl around the neighborhood a bit. Car in great shape other than a warped driver door card and the fact that they screwed a license plate holder to the bumper - ugh. They say they are going to fix the door card - we’ll see. I’m having it gone through by an indie shop later in the week.

Nice! I have no personal experience but have been told that depending on your local Porsche dealer some are replacing the door cards for 981s because it's such a known problem. I'd check. Can't hurt.

Just for fun and because I plan on trading in my 981 Spyder at the dealer this summer when my new Spyder arrives. I thought I would see what Carvana would give me. Dealer already offered me a couple K under MSRP as the car is pristine, CPO, loaded, and low miles (MSRP was $109). I had previously sold a Golf R to Carvana and gotten a good price for it.

I filled out the online form. Carvana said someone would get back with me within 24 hours. I didn't hear from them for 5 days. They finally came back with a $77k offer. Either they don't know how to price the GT and special cars like the Spyder or they don't know what it is and priced it like a GTS.

Maybe buy 981s from them but I certainly won't be selling mine to them.

I got my 2015 Cayman S from Carvana and it only had 2900 miles. They delivered it and had a PPI done by a local euro shop and they confirmed the mileage, no overrevs, and it was in great condition.

In addition to paying for Pedro in Florida to fix my door cards, Carvana agree to replace 4 tires. The Goodyear Asymmetricals were backordered. So we went with what we could get. Just got this text from the shop.

So great to see that carvana has been stepping up for you. It's funny how experiences seem to vary. People here, if I'm taking mental notes accurately, seem to have a more favorable opinion of them compared to some of the other forums I'm on where it's mostly negative.

There was a Jalopnik piece recently that recounted a carvana “horror story” and the takeaway of me and most of the comments there was wow they really tried to make it right, seemed like a good outcome for a worst case scenario.

I think a lot depends a lot on the shop you pick to do the work. SilverRock, the company that Carvana farms out to deal with claims, is not easy to work with from the shop side. The one I picked really went to bat for me. I think one of the owners is a 911 guy, so that was la lucky break. Thankfully, Pedro’s shop has some sort of accreditation which opened up the possibility for having my door cards properly repaired.

I’m about pick up my Cayman 981 with 20k miles and full service history at the dealer. I know they replaced tires but i’m sure whatever they put is not going to be good. I’m wondering if they would entertain my paying the difference to put Michelin PS4s on the car.

During my 7 days i’m going to take it somewhere for a PPI. Should I take it to the dealer or to a Porsche specialist indie shop?

Any tips on what I should ask to be checked or for anything I should look for?

Thanks in advance!
