The left front turn signal bulb is out in my 2013 Boxster S. It's the upper bulb near the headlight. I took it to an independent shop that has done quality work for me in the past and he said the bumper needs to come off to replace the bulb. Does this sound right? Is there another way to replace this? Thanks
I haven't checked on my 981, but on the 987 you remove the headlight assembled through an access port in the trunk where you insert a tool and rotate to release the headlight.
There is a tool in the tool kit that is inserted into a hole in the frunk. When this tool is turned, the whole headlight assembly is pushed forward and can be gently pulled out and disconnected. Replacing the bulbs is nothing more than removing screws to remove a small access panel on the back.
