I would be really curious if the parts are actually available and you get this done 11/6, please keep us posted on this. I’m in Jacksonville so they should be able to get the parts too. TIA

the only “official “ notification I have received from Porsche is when I registered my new-to-me car on Porsche’s My Porsche page. A notification popped up telling me of the outstanding recall on my car. Subsequent checks on Porsche’s Recall by VIN page also show the recall.

Update: I see on my USPS incoming mail notice that I have incoming mail from Porsche with a Recall label, I suspect it is the notice for this 981 Recall.

I have not been noticed and my build date is in the zone. I called my SA at Porsche San Diego and she said no ETA on parts and she will let me know. I is odd the recall on the site yet no written notice.

Just made an appointment for the rear axle carrier for my 2013 Boxster S, build date 01/01/2013. No recall letter, but the recall is in both Porsche and NHTSB sites. Dealer is saying it requires and inspection firsts before ordering replacing parts.

I actually went to the recall sites looking for the SC/Sport+ for my car. Only recall listed was the rear axle carrier.

I haven't seen anyone with a 981 verifying that they have the Sport+ recall.

They are working on the 991 Sport+ emission issue updates as of now according to one of the big 991 threads here. Im not sure if that means they will do all of them before starting the 981, or if it just happens to look that way as of now? Those that have had it done are reporting that Sport+ no longer holds RPM up until near redline any longer when driving in full auto mode, so Im not sure how happy those with PDK that track their cars are going to be with this change? It seems to have given those who dont track a mode than can now be used on the street without manual shifting, however taken it away from those who do track, and that was one of most brilliant features on the PDK with sport chrono

Just received my recall in the mail today, it clearly states "Porsche is conducting a safety recall to REPLACE both of the rear suspension control arm mounts on the vehicle.......", nothing about inspecting anything. That tells me they are replacing these parts under the recall.

Spoke with my SA today and he said "no parts yet - no information on the bulletin board of Porsche - the recall still shows 'not yet available' ".

Mine built 6/14/2015, on the list and waiting for the dealer to receive the parts. I am on the call list when the parts make it in.

Thanks for showing what the official notification looks like. My car is clearly in the range of those affected by the recall but I've not received notice yet.

Got my letter today. Wonder what the timing will be for the follow up letter to take the car to a dealer. Will call my dealer Monday to see if they have more info.

Got my letter today. I want to make sure they plan to do an alignment after they are done.

Bad news no parts were available when I went for my annual service at Atlanta Porsche Perimeter. My SA said it will be in late December when they see part for this recall.

A question for those who have received the official written communication from Porsche:
Does you VIN now show your car as being part of the recall when you enter it at the Porsche recall site ( https://recall.porsche.com/prod/pag/...ReadForm&c=usa )?

To bad companies can't come out and be straight up candid about things like this. All they had to "SAY" is " We have a recall and are working the problem. As we work through this notifications will go out in what appears to be random mailings, but it's not random. Replacement parts will show up in small numbers to start with and again will look totally random as to location. We anticipate increased parts availability in early 2022. Your patience is appreciated as we work through this."
At this point we all know it's totally random but at least give us some information. Nature abhors a vacuum so misinformation and distrust fills the void.
