I'm not too sure that link will show this recall already.
I'm hoping this is the issue that's causing the rattle I have.

What kind of rattle do you have and when do you hear it?

It sounds like a bag of coins in the back, usually over bumps. Even some expansion joints will do it.

and yea, I’ve looked for the coins.

Be sure to follow up on this and let us know if you're subject to the recall...

Just called my local Porsche centre and they say my 981 isn’t currently subject to any recalls but then again maybe it’s still too early….

Im also not in North America but in Australia so let’s see if they get in touch at a later date

I get the bag of coins sound too (2015 Cayman Base). I've removed and refitted the rear trim a couple of times trying to chase it down with no luck.

This article suggests dealers might start getting updated on Sept 15th.

Dealers will be notified of the recall on September 15 and owners are expected to hear from the automaker on or before November 1. The Porsche number for the safety campaign is AMB7 and those who want to get in touch with them at 1-800-767-7243 will have to use it.

Based on the production dates for the recalled cars, mine isn't even close to the cutoff (prod date 10/1/14 vs cutoff date 7/31/14). So I guess the bag o' coins noise is unrelated.

My production month is 2013-12-01.
According to this, it applies to my car. Let's see how this plays out.

FYI, the local dealer has no information on this recall yet.

Haven't heard any such noises (described) ..but we'll get it checked out.

How do you "get it checked out?" Lack of visible cracks may mean very little.
