Since absolutechezch's car showed up on the site, we know that the recall is there in their database. It might just be that very few cars are affected.

My car shows up on the Porsche recall site (GTS with a build month of Jun-2014). Since the recall notice states that I will be contacted some time after Nov 1, I am not going to confuse the local dealer by trying to rush things. I have two HPDE weekends planned for November, so I'll make arrangement to have it done after the second one.

Having crashed badly and (to this day) painfully once when an upright failed in a formula car I was racing, I am not comfortable at speed on a track in a car which may have these defects. I just cancelled the rest of the season.

Or very few cars on this discussion board...From the article posted by stormrider in post #3, "The recall includes 4,934 units, with a 100% estimated defect rate...."

I went to the dealer after I saw it here and asked the Service manager whom I know well, he said as of that day (last Tuesday) he had not received any notices on the recall, probably cause maybe non of the cars where ever sold thru that dealer. People affected will get the letter, if is a second owner only if car has been service at dealer, some may not if the original owner doesn’t forward the notice, so anyone with a car built on those dates should check with their local dealer.

I have a June 2014 Production Cayman GTS, and PNA lookup confirms inclusion in recall...

Is it the AMB7 recall? Or is it an earlier one? https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/202...1V679-4936.PDF

The porsche site listed earlier in this thread shows I have no open recalls for my car.
But I know there is one, as when I called the dealer about the axle carrier, they made an appointment for some fuel / tank recall.

Not having faith in that link.

What is your reasoning?

It is clear only some of the cars produced have this defect, it is likely a certain supplier defect, not necessarily a date code based issue..

Because the manufacturing date ranges for the specific cars affected are listed in the recall document provided by Porsche. They know what dates and which cars were being built when the potentially bad supplier parts were circulating.

I know my 2014 CS is part of the recall despite the fact that the Porsche site doesnt show anything at this time because the recall letter says any Cayman S car built between Dec 17 2012 and July 30 2014. My car was built May 2013 according to the drivers door VIN sticker

Wonder how many cars that go to the dealership for this recall may also get the software fix for the 'sports chrono emission issue' at the same time crippling the car and not even telling the owners?

What does this "Fix" do to the car's ECU software?

This fix does not, but wouldn't be surprised if Porsche tried to seek in that software update.
