The top on my 2013 Boxster S gets stuck, usually when putting the top down. It's a mechanical issue, I can hear it make a clunking noise when the top is about halfway down. I put the top back up and and try it again and it usually works. It makes the noise sometimes when I'm putting the top up but hasn't stopped, yet. Thanks for any advice.

are you getting any error or faults in the display such as "Fault - Top not in final position". There are several micro switches in the top mechanism that are very common failures, they tend to have an issue where they work sometimes and not others with the top stopping mid movement. They are not easy to replace, a lot of the interior/top has to be removed and the cost is quite high if this is your issue.

Thanks for the reply, no error codes, I don't think it is the switches, It's definitely a mechanical issue. Is there a part that fails or needs to be lubricated?
