Hi Rennlist Family! I own a 6spd 981 Stripper and recently on my weekend Canyon drives I can't but help lust after my friend's 981 GTS lowered stance!
My car is not a daily but I love ripping through the mountains on the weekends or an occasional Friday.
My dreams of finding a GTS in 6spd in my same Agate grey are slowly diminishing like the sounds of the whistles on the final boats carrying the surviving women & children of the Titanic!
Having said that will I notice much improvement in upgrading my stock 981 suspension to the X73? will it affect the value of the car for the "Originalist" community? or do I not qualify since purist tend to love more classic Porsche cars.
Any help would be appreciated! I don't plan on doing this job myself and would want to have a reputable shop work on the car.
thanks in advance

I have a 981 Boxster S As in Agate Gray with X73 and PTV. I bought it after driving a friend's GTS with X73. It's a great combination of firmness and precise control while still having a comfortable ride. Unless you want the GTS bodywork or additional power, you'll be happy.

I added X73 to my Cayman S PDK and recently did my first HPDE.. the car performed great and I got comments from my instructors about the cars grip & handling. Was an awesome time.
I cant imagine X73 hurting the car's value due to the "originalists".. It's all Porsche parts and an option box that someone could have ticked when they ordered the car when new..

Thanks guys, I might just have to upgrade the suspension to X73, No onto finding a reputable shop in the Bay Area to do the work and tighten everything to proper Torque Specs.

Just an FYI the install cost is going to be high. You need to lower the front subframe for sway bar install and completely take apart the rear mounts for shock/spring install. As long as you are going that far I would also install an after market rear toe links for added camber. All that being said it is a wonderful upgrade for the car.
