From several of your posts I've seen on several threads it seems you hate your 981...Why don't you throw it out on the market and get something that gives you some satisfaction? Life is short....Make yourself happy.

Not just here, but over on P9, too. Sorry you don't like your car. Time to move on and pick a new adventure. At this point it doesn't matter what it is, but what is clear is that your 981 isn't it.

The next one just might be better, hopefully so. Plenty of fish in the pond, as they say.

sounds like you picked a lemon.....My 981CS has 48K on the clock with none of those issues, besides the dang door panel issue.....

I could easily sell it for what I paid for it a year and a half ago.....I'm not mad at it enough yet to sell it yet though

Most newer cars are most likely going to see warped door panels and sagging headliner eventually. Manufacturers have been forced to no longer use good glue. Now it's all water based and does not hold up as well as the older glue.

I overpaid for my base stripper 2015 Cayman S but it was worth it because it’s a manual...which in my mind carries a premium. I still expect to lose money on it when I sell it...such is life.

I am also throwing a lot of $ at it to make it a bit more unique and more GTSeque. Again - zero regrets. Fun, somewhat slow but super nimble car!
And for good measure...her is how she currently stands

The original post is about the value of 981's increasing.
Rennlisters enjoying their vehicles.
Watching the 981 value going up is exciting.
Yes. ALL cars have issues.
Some are willing to look past said issues and still feel this is a GREAT car.
Let's try to stay on Topic: 981 increasing price.
Thank you

I got my 981 CS w/ PSE, PASM, SC, PTV, premium package from a PCA member last October. I had to stretch my budget but I still feel I underpaid for the car, especially given its history and quality.

Headliner was already done by the first owner. No issue with warping door cards yet. I plan to drive it till the wheels fall off, so not too concerned about price, but it feels nice to see the price increasing. Now, even stripper 981 CS seem to be going for more than what I paid.

Dangit, I just had to do some work on our 69 Plymouth 'Cuda's door panel this last weekend.
It made me so angry!
So don't buy one of those.

So you had PADM failure and have been sounding off constantly on here on what a POS the Cayman is. I am no fan boy (I read your PADM post because I also had one fail so I can be critical too). If you think it’s such a POS, sell it and move on. You are not contributing anything worthwhile on here.

So childish can't tolerate people voicing opinions.

Congrats - I think you got a great car for a great price. I'm also guessing the 997 will become (if it isn't already) a garage queen since the 981 is going to be SO much fun to drive!

Quick Reply: 981 Cayman's still going up in price?
