Apologies in advance ..I seem to jump at every chance to talk about my Fabspeed X-Pipe tips and GT Exhaust mod.

I did the Fabspeed X-Pipe tips and GT Exhaust mod (..think Carnewal) at the same time.
Results were fantastic and I have no desire to change a thing.
  • The engine definitely breaths better ..which is a good thing.
  • The engine spins up more freely
  • No more exhaust pulse collisions (which is what happens with the OEM T-Bone Mono tip ..that horrible little device.)
  • Reduced back pressure on the valves (fingers crossed)
But can only say this was a result of the entire mod ..cuz of the two changes at the same time.
Less than scientific but I sure do love the tones and exhaust notes I get.

Here's a vid sample of the results (sport mode @~2:30):

There is a difference with PSE or stock exhaust when X-pipe tips are installed.

If you align your Porsche wheel center caps so the Porsche badge points directly to your valve stems, that's worth another 2 HP, per wheel!!

Soul Performances tips below. Love them. I've found a noticeable difference in sound, and of course a 1000% improvement visually on my Cayman 2.7. I installed them around the time I also added Softronic tune and the car is transformed. So transformed that I drove a band new Cayman T the other week and while I love the look/trim/equipment etc. of the Cayman T, it seemed slow, frankly, compared to the tuned 2.7. The midrange turbo oomph I was expecting was barely more than the extra midrange the Softronic provides and the top end just wasnt there. I'm not even going to get into the sound. I thought it would't bother me, but the T sounded obnoxious in either PSE or non-PSE engaged exhaust and was loud and rough sounding all the time. Holding the car at 3500-4k in 3rd gear made me sound like I was hurting the car, while I can hold revs in my 2.7 at also most any level and it still sounds sweet. I was frankly very surprised. The handling/roadholding/ride control was superb and superior in the T, but that was it. Current feelings are 4.0 GTS or nothing, but frankly sticking with what I have isn't an unattractive option.
