OP, I trust yours passed PPI ... good luck. That looked like a nice one! Enjoy in good health!
By the way,, I think I like it better than my recently sold 997.2 (PDK).
Awesome news Eddie, and a Chicagoan, I have to ask if you've come out to any of the CPC stuff?

Regarding PPI's, it's not very surprising that dealers aren't doing PPI's. It's getting more and more common as it's a liability issue. If a tech misses something, that can come back on the dealer.

The dealer selling the car though, they should be willing to drive it to any shop within a reasonable distance to have the car inspected.

I can vouch for Steinels. They've done work on my GT3 and many peoples cars that I know.
North Coast Auto Mall? I googled the VIN

Update:
Good news from the PPI. Clean all around with no funny business. Nothing concerning coming from the over rev report. One of the dynamic transmission mounts is showing an error but I knew that may be an issue. Only standout item is a mouse chewed some of the foam insulation with no additional damage that they can see. Very happy to Steinels perform this work.
The shipping company has assigned a carrier and I should have it by Friday. Very excited all around!

Excellent! Things happen for a reason!
I drove mine 1400 miles from Florida over the last 3 days and tonight around town (Chicago in freezing weather).
I am totally impressed with these 981 Boxsters ... very easy to put miles on.
You may not need to step up to a 911 ... I stepped down from 911s that I've had ... 996 Turbo manual (great car) , 996 GT3 (awesome car but too valuable drive) 991.1 manual GTS (too big), 997.2 PDK (not engaging enough).
Never getting rid of the 964 though!

The convertible form factor is way better than the 911 convertibles imo.

Congratulations!
Here is the one I picked up on Friday in Florida and drove back to Chicago.
CPO
X73 Suspension
Porsche Vectoring LSD
2 way Sport Seats
6 Speed
It has an aftermarket headunit with android auto / car play and front and rear cameras. I'm surprised how advanced these new systems have become. Original unit came with it too.
With the X73 suspension it handles like my 987 Boxster Spyder did, which is to say telepathically.
I hate to say, I will be making some mods.

Does the dog have a red collar to match the car? Did you buy the car to match the dog, or vice versa?

Good eye on the canine ... that is actually my neighbor's hound. Mine are a little easier to overlook but match the paint too!

Always great to read about happy endings (of the non-salacious type). Enjoy the car(s)!
