We have it on our 2016 CS. Car was a lease turn-in. Didn't really know too much about options/what is 'common' when we bought it, kinda an impulse buy.

Since then have become a bit more familiar w the more popular options and have seen a more than a few cars since w exact same specs (aside from color), the combination of which always seemed a bit odd to me; painted interior console trim, no smokers package, wheel center caps?

Dunno, maybe a common spec for dealer stock/lease back then? Like the X73, though...not really too bad whatsoever in daily use.

I had it on my 14S. Of course it’s standard on my current 981 Spyder. It was great on the S. Just realized I need to update my profile photo. That’s my old 987 Spyder.

Have it on our Boxster GTS. Was a must-have. Along with PTV.

I had no idea what X73 was, I recently got a 981 Cayman GTS and is on the factory build list so I decided to investigate and educate my self, this is my first Porsche, and while I worked on them back in the era of air cool engines a lot has changed. The car handles amazing, I raced karts in my youth and to me I feel like Im back in a kart. BTW the car I got was once listed here on Reenlist by duncchris from Los Alamos NM. If you’re reading I promise to take good care of her.

As X73, like the Paddle shift steering wheel can be added after the fact, you should not exclude vehicles without X73 for consideration. However, two otherwise equivalent cars (model year, motor, mileage and transmission) it will be cheaper to get the one that already has x73 as options on used 981s are essentially free whereas you would have to spend hard $$s to add x73 to a car that didn't already have it.
