Fog light upgrade? LED?
I took my headlights apart last night and cleaned the lenses. What a big difference, they look new and not all hazy.
Just took my car for a spin, one of the first times I have really driven it at night. The low beams are pretty weak but the high beams are actually really good. Is there a good LED bulb I can put in the fog lights that I can supplement my low beams with? And I don't want one of those bluish type aftermarket bulbs you see in hondas and stuff.

Flosser makes some different wattage bulbs. There are some for sale on belmetric and also on eBay.
Filament type bulbs do degrade with age.
It would be nice to have a parts list for the adjustable headlights from the other side of the pond (and some euro spec lenses!)
Personally, I like a dispersed pattern as to light up around bends, crests and valleys. Heaven forbid that I would find myself on a straight road where I might venture into 4th gear.

little bit of lighting tip:
using the fogs to augment your weak lowbeams is useful for slow-speed driving or if you are just in a VERY dark place.
but for highway higher speed driving you want to put more light further out (fog lights put light up close, right in front of the car) to help your eyes focus where they need to focus (out in the distance since you are moving fast).
is there a driving light conversion?

Spencer, the 968s had an integral driving light as part of the fog light housing. They come on with the main beams and they are very bright when properly aligned.

Regarding different wattage bulbs - be sensitive to this when selecting incandescent replacements. Higher wattage will require higher amperage which in turn may have a negative effect (too much = blown fuse, minimal increase may result in degradation of wiring insulation over a long period of time).
LED options would be great as they draw less current.

Looking at this company for a few LED upgrades, they seem to have good cross info on the bulbs and the cars applications

Did you upgrade many of yours to LED Jerry?

I have done cabin lights above the rear-view mirror and trunk light. The LED's work fantastic there. I would love some new lights for driving however. I would replace the whole fixture if I could find the size. There are some fantastic like these:

but I have no idea what size ours are...

Here's the receipt from super bright LEDS. You can search those bulb numbers at the super bright LED site. Or just do a car search and they will all come up.
Link to 968 bulbs.
