968 sub forum? What happened?
I do a lot of searching for 968 info and I get a lot of old threads on Rennlist back in the early to mid 2000's where LOTS of 968 owners are having really good discussions about suspension and engines and all kind of interesting stuff. Now it's like 6-8 people and cheesy posts like "hey look at my new gear shift ****"
For those who have been in this sub forum a long time why do you think it's died down? Or has it?

Jerry if you want to see site explode try posting some good used parts I got me first 968 back in the late 1990s and have had one on and off for all thees years. It is my option that if you ever owned one you found a sweet spot in the Porsche family and you eventually come back. It has happened to me again as I build a 968 race car and park my 996 Cup Cars in the garage

Jerry,
I hear ya!
I believe many car guys go through cycles. I know I do. I think there is some truth about guys getting most of their things fixed. That doesn't mean things are always fixed. But, like you, if you search well, and find what you are looking for, there is no need to update a thread.
RE: the post I just got great help on with the vibration, we still have an awesome group of advisors when someone reaches out.
I also agree with the 968 platform. As a PCA DE instructor, I drive a lot of different iron. I still come back to my car as the 'go to' car. It ain't the fastest out there, but it does everything right. As my wife says, "It's like the pair of old slippers by the bed. They always feel right and you can't get rid of them."

I use my 968 CS mainly for road trips nearby in the Ardennes and Eifel region, and still can't wish for a better car. More horsepower would be useless on those twisty roads and the amount of torque is just excellent. Combine this with sharp steering, neutral handling, a sweet gearbox, great brakes (M030) and you end up with a car that offers loads of fun...

Mine has been sitting under car covers and plastic with 0 compression on # 3 cylinder for the past 2.75 yrs. I am driving it to the shop tonite for a complete cylinder head rebuild/valve job.
Removed the covers and washed it last eve. As soon as its back on the road and I am dealing with other problems that happen to come up during normal usage I will start posting here AGAIN.
I really do enjoy the give and take in the tech areas of RL and a hardy thanks to all that have helped me in the past with the cars.

I missed it. I know that with every new 968 register welcome letter I direct the new member to the Rennlist 968 forum. I think there are great enthusiasts here who are most helpful. I for one try to do my part to contribute. I've been dedicated to this site and it has always been a great group.
