About to tackle this job myself, got the full seal kit for the cam cover stuff.
Boeing717, do you have to remove the fuel lines to get the cam cover off?
What is that awesome paint? I have some aluminum-color high temp stuff but would take a recommendation on that exact stuff.
thanks
Jon

fuel lines should be replaced at some point and should be removed for clearing the vario solenoid. the vario uses a paper gasket and an o-ring. the corners of the cover need a pearl size dab of non setting sealant.

Paul, after seeing a few of these cars it seems as though they came on the 92/93 cars that had the nice plastic trim valance at firewall and airbox. The real '94's and '95's without these trim valances did not seem to come with the plastic trim nuts found on the earlier cars. Anyone who parts these cars could get you 8 of them or try Sonnen as they still may be available.

I'll check and see what silver I used, I also Put a high temp clear on top but it's starting to yellow little

If I was you or I had it to do over again I would take it and have it powder coated silver.

Yes fuel lines need to be unhooked. I never got much leakage out of them when I unhooked. Then just tie wrapped them back out of the way.
Don't know which gasket you bought but the first one I bought didn't fit snuggly in that channel on the valve cover and every time I flipped it over to install it would fall out and mess up the gasket sealant. I bought another one from pelican. And it fit kind of snuggly in the channel and would stay put. I'll try and see which brand the second one was.

Yea I guess they were on it when I got it. Probably some kind of snap on plastic cover.
