Default 968 engine noise

Hello, I have been reading up on 968's for a couple years but do not yet have much experience with them. I have a video here - in it, the engine has what is described as a lifter noise, but perhaps someone here can help to confirm or deny that? Also, from my limited experience, the low pitched, somewhat fluctuating drone of the engine is normal?

Could be any one or more bearings. Any change with the clutch engaged?

Sounds like its time to remove the ancillary belts and pop the cover. If it's not obvious, set it to tdc, lock the flywheel and go deep.

Thanks for the reply. It's actually not me in the video - it's from the seller and this is pretty much all the info I have to go by. I do not have the opportunity to see the car in person. Bearings sound a lot less fun than lifter noise. Though I don't mind buying a car that needs work done, I'm wondering if this might be evidence of a more serious and costly problem.

The noise apparently goes away once the engine is warmed up.

The drone sounds like belt noise to me, probably from the balance shaft belt being a little too tight. The ticking does sound like lifters, they do tap after sitting for awhile and the sound goes away after they warm up. What weight oil is in the car? Oil pressure gauge should be pegged in the video looking at the coolant temp. Wrong weight oil could be contributing to the lifter noise

worst video ever to buy a car from. I sure wouldn't buy it unless it was cheap. Drone does not sound wrong and some of the clicking could be injectors, but who would know with the hood closed. I wouls want to use a stethoscope to isolate the noises personally.

Whirring noise is the balance shaft belt. Should have the tension checked, could be too tight or the adjustable idler wheel is "pushing" on it too much. The ticking sounds like lifter or more probably an exhaust leak. Sounds like aftermarket (or rotted out) exhaust, so could have a leak from installation.
