Default Options for the 'Hammer' Bosch Tool

One of the things that will likely occur when I return the car to operation is the air bag warning light. My understanding is that easiest way to reset the airbag warning light is using the Bosch 'Hammer' tool. http://home.kpn.nl/mirjam_paul/bosch_kts301.html

I think I've read that the Bosch tool is NLA and when one finds them used, they're not exactly checkbook friendly in terms of price.

So, looking around I found this alternative to the stock Hammer tool - http://jenniskens.livedsl.nl/webshopmanager/index.php and thought I'd share their Site as well as see if anyone who has used this too could/would testify with your experience(s) using this diagnostic tool.

Not sure what else I could use it for besides resetting the airbag warning light as my conversion has the M-tune with tuner module for engine management. If anyone has a 'Hammer'...sharing your experience would also be great.

Jay, I have a Bosch Hammer and would be happy to turn your light out when you're ready. I'm in Atlanta occasionally or we could meet halfway.

Durametric tool can also clear airbag light if the issue no longer persists.
Another option is to disarm the airbag by installing an ohm resistor (only works for driver side)

Agreed, durametric can reset airbag and do a few other things (like pull codes when I had door lock problems)

You can also use the official part to disable airbags: 92861222000

That disables the whole system.

There is also this scantool which is opensource I believe: http://www.bergvillfx.com/index.php/...4-and-993.html
