Default 968 Electrical Gremlins

Was trying to help a pal troubleshoot his white 94 968 today with a strange condition. The car looses battery voltage when underway, specially loosing the radio when shifting into second gear (presumably because the voltage fall to a level below the minimum that will maintain the radio alive). If it is stationary, it is fine and you can row the gears stationary with no malfunction. Cleaned all the grounds I could find, cleaned battery contacts, found no loose conections or grounded wires.

also, it has that ticking relay sound from the passenger side dash, when the a/c is working. Is there any way to get rid of it?

Amy ideas are welcome.

TIA

I would hook a volt meter with extended leads to the battery, place it in the cabin, and take a drive. It would be interesting to see the voltage drop across the terminals when the radio cuts out.

My suspicion...voltage regulator/alternator is failing under load.

It was puzzleing how the voltage drop would start as soon as the car started rolling, even without engaging the engine, just coasting. Could it be related to the ABS?

Have you checked the coils? The Brazilian ones that most everyone carries (even Porsche) can cause weird electrical issues.
