Default Paint Code Number Question

So here it is...what is the difference between

Amazon Green Metallic paint code 37Z/N7 (looks greener)
and
Amazon Green Metallic paint code 39A (look bluer)

Anyone know?

There is only one Amazon green that I'm aware of. It was available on 968s between 92-93. I had a 968 in the color. It is a dark teal, will look dark green or dark blue depending on the light.

The codes I have tracked are:

N7 is the sales code for Amazon green.
L39A is the paint code for Amazon green.

I have no record of a 37Z and I have plenty of period documentation. Could it be the water-based Amazon green code? They changed the paint type while the 968s were in production so some colors do have two codes.

For reference, take a look at the color charts on this website that offers paint products.

That site also lists for 1994 two different Iris Blues with a slightly different color. I'm pretty sure the L39V* is the water-based one and 39N was the older solvent one. I'll check the 1994 model year technical information supplement when I get some.
Jon
PS the 968 register site lists the Iris Blue code as L39U. I honestly cannot tell from the dot matrix printing on the options sticker if that is a U or a V. It's either a U with a pointy bottom or a V with a rounded bottom
