There was an article in excellence when they first started publishing with a flat NATO green on a werks project a German tuner was building....I really liked the color...even in its matte finish.

in the shade with the sun creeping it's not 100% identifiable, but I'm leaning slightly toward Aventurine...

the 968 below; (seen in person in Lexington, MA in 2007 w/ sales documentation) is Aventurine....

compare it to the Aventurine 993.

the Porsche greens: http://teamspeed.com/forums/porsches...d-porsche.html

(third car), look what the sun does to distort the greens.

and if you scroll about 3/4 down the page you'll find an Oak Green 911.

I took a look at the TeamSpeed site - mind boggling how many greens Porsche offered. FWIW, mine is Aventurine just like the previous post - lucky I ended up with this color...

Cheers!

Default Amazon Green

Amazon Green for reference. This colour is hard to capture on film.

with Aventurine, think winter or hunter green of the Aston Martin variety.

oak green is in the neighborhood of the color of the green olive fruit.

with Amazon, Porsche selected a truly great color.

of the three Amazon is the deepest shade of green imo........ like a cucumber, the leaf of a laurel or avocado (fruit)...

(avocado is of course, the fruit bearing laurel).

this is another example of the bright light not allowing that color's immense beauty to come out...

as the camera lens requires a filter.

I would say the car is Oak green but get the last 3 digits of the VIN and I'll tell you for sure.

So you can play along at home, grab this PDF on all the 968 colors.

Wish mine looked that good. Drove mine for the first time this year last week. Rolled the windows up, now the passenger side won't go down. It's always something.
