Is that only on US spec cars? Would be interested to know where it is situated.

It's mounted on the trunk lid, towards the rear window end. I'm sure there is a picture of a US car in most of the books on 968's, and scroll through 968.net there are pictures galore. On the coupe it's mounted on the inside hatch window near the roof.
