There's a company called Orchid Euro out of PA (and they have a partner in UK) that imports 25+ year old models. They charge ~$2800 for delivery from UK and all paperwork. They can import from anywhere, but the price will go up of course if you need them to go somewhere to get the car for you...

A speed yellow clubsport recently sold in Canada for around $25k. It was imported from Japan. In Canada they are legal to import after 15 years and I know of people who import cars to Canada first so that they can sit on them before the flood gates to the US open up which will drive up the price. For example, at one time the price differential between the US and Europe for a Ferrari F50 was $500,000. Pretty good incentive to buy one, bring to Canada and then sit on it for 3 years.

I am considering buying one and storing in the country of origin until its legal for importation. I just can't find one here in good enough shape that is special, or one that is special for a reasonable price. Is it easier to import cars from Canada?

No idea. But, it is easier to get a 15 year old car into Canada than the US when the prices might not have risen as much. If you need a place to store it, I think I might know just the spot. You will have to leave the keys though.

Do the rocker panels look different on this car than on the regular 968 or am I dreaming?

They seem to have 2 strong lines running the length that are not on other cars.

Looks like the piping is missing from the rockers from the rear quarter forward but it is not, just nice and tight.

Also I see there is plexiglass to protect the fog lights. Anyone know of a places to get these? Good idea!
