Who knows. Maybe. J/K. Until then I'm a happy owner of a sweet 968 cab which maybe I'll sell.

If all goes well, my 911 will be sold by the end of the week. I've had it for 17 years and will be sad to see it go, but I'm ready for something new.

Being on the hunt is kinda fun....

Default The 968 has arrived

My 94 / 968 has made the trip hope at last Picked it up from Lugna Beach Calif. 2 owner car. 1 adult orignal long term owner and a teen for the last 1 1/2 yrs. The adult took damm good care of it, kept records of everything pertaining to the car and its upkeep, stayed on top of ALL maint and repairs and the teen, well he did what teens tend to do!!! The good thing is that He didnt own it long enough or drive it enough miles to matter.Made the drive up from LA with no problems and am now cleaniing it up. changing all fluids and looking very close at all of the past history for cam, cam chain, pads inspection and change outs along with all front seals and belts. Very happy with it sofar. My choice for oil is the Mobil 1 Twin V 20/50 / 3 qts for its ZDDP levels & 4 qts of Mobil 1 15/50.

I may, not 100% sure yet, be tossing the idea around about letting go of my '95 968 cab. PM if interested, but like I said, just tossing the idea around.

Hi Carm, I too am looking for a nice cab. I have a 928, and wish to add a nice cab to my stable. Please send info if you decide to sell.
Thanks! Don

When looking at 968's, should I run away if I see a dash crack and missing section of lower front valance, and rubber welting falling out from a body/bumper seam?

I saw one like that in Connecticut. I'd do a careful ppi and see if there are any other major problems.

Default Dash crack

I would look very carefully at the dash. Unless the crack is very small, I would walk away (replacing the dash is a big job with big $) and, at least for me, it would irritate me every time I got in the car since the dash is so visible.

The other issues with the car you describe make me think the car wasn't cared for very well and/or sat outside a lot. So unless there are other reasons to like it (low mileage, unique options, etc) I would move on.

Just my 2 cents

Default ebay listing

This one is interesting. The eBay pics don't show how bad the dashboard is. I contacted the dealer and they have no service records or history.

In the google pics I can see there is a crack all the way from the windshield to the top of the gauge cluster.

In that photo you can also see holes drilled on the side of the console. The 17" Cup1s are original to the car.

Default got one

I've joined the club :-)

I didn't end up with a car matching my original criteria (blue, unmolested/unmodified), but I think it's a good fit in the grand scheme of things.

• Comments: Your 968 is a true 1994 model year car built in July of 1993 (could you check and let me know? Look on the Driver’s door jam VIN sticker). It has the mid-year model changes which include the 993-style seats and the lack of engine bay trim. Frank owned this car.

Finally got around to checking the VIN sticker, it shows a build date of 7/93.

I took my first extended drive today - about 50 miles. I have to say, the car is confidence inspiring. Flat in the turns and it just STICKS.
