durametric
I tried to hook up the durametric to the 968 but got an error that the cord was not powered up. Nothing I did made any difference. Anybody have this? Any ideas? And yes I will call durametric but thought maybe someone here might have a solution.

I have one I just purchased sitting on the shelf. I'll be trying it out in the next couple of days and will post again.
Did the little green light come on where the usb end plugs into the computer. Pretty sure it should.

Not that I remember. I have used it with my Cayman and Cayenne with no issue. I am wondering if the Obd port port is functioning?????

This was my 3rd vehicle. I called and as you suggested the green lite on the OBD end is the key...no light and that means no power from the port. Any idea on how to solve that?

the 968 needs a special cable end to work in the 968. Do you have that? It is because it is an OBD 1.

Durametric INSTRUCTION SHEET WAS INCORRECT FOR MY EARLY '92 968: Finally got around to clearing the air bag code that was caused by me not disconnecting the battery for a period of time (I think 30 min is suggested) before getting into the dash.
The paperwork for the Durametric states to "Switch the car's ignition to its accessory position."
THIS DID NOT WORK ON MY early '92 968. Fortunately there is a red/green led on the connector for the durametric from which I found I HAD TO HAVE THE IGNITION IN THE ON POSITION. Accessory position returned a red light on the cable. Once I figured that out, everything seemed to work OK. And, I was able to clear the Airbag Fault code.
Thought I'd post this here in case others experience issues with Durametric not connecting properly. Mike, if you haven't gotten yours to work yet on the 968, you should check to see if this is your issue.

What do you do if there is nothing coming from the OBD1 port? Is there a fuse or relay ?
