17x9" Twists all the way around?
My 968 came with 17x7 front and 17x9 rear turbo twist wheels with the typical 205F, 255R tire widths. I just bought an identical second set and am thinking about using the 17x9s with 255s all the way around. Would they fit on the front without rubbing or any modifications?

If you are running stock springs, you might have an issue. With aftermarket springs, you can get them in 2.25 and 2.5 inches id. This helps get additional clearance to fit wider front tires.

Great to know, thanks! I have all stock suspension right now, but plan to replace it with something better (and not worn out) within the next month or two (just need to make up my mind what I want to put on the car).

you can run a 265 mm tire with that front rim with no worries.
these cars love a wide front tire. I'm running 255s and 285s and the grip is outa sight.
and on the Florida roads?? jeebus, you'll be lovin' it. then run the 265 or 275 in the back.\
but, 275 is max for the 9" rim. 10 inches would be ideal in the rear for a 275 or 285 mm tire.
