Which chip is this?

Default Which chip is this?

My new 968 included a small plastic container labeled Promax Porsche 968 usa-rev limit 7700 rpm. The chip is labeled 1 267 357 459 and that it was made in Singapore. Am I correct to assume this is the Promax chip and not the original 968 chip?

It sounds to me like you have the USA ProMAX Performance Chip for the 968 with a 7700 rev limit. ProMax makes two versions, the 7100 and the 7700 chip for the US. I question raising the rev limit on a car like this myself but that's just my bias. You can find more info at the link below -

I agree with flybyu as well. 7700rpm is too high. Let us know if you need the original chip.
