Default Any Interest in the Camshaft Adjustment Gauge?

I've been working with a small shop to get the "Camshaft Adjustment Gauge" made to have on-hand for the next time I have to work on the camshafts. Per the FSM, there isn't a Porsche special tool number, the FSM tells the tech to "fabricate locally." Most people don't fabricate this gauge when working on their top ends (I didn't when I did my variocam pads) but looking back I really wish I had. The shop that is making mine will have to do a decent sized run of them to justify their machine/material costs so I'd like to gauge the interest from the community for them. Not looking to make a profit here, just allow everyone else to benefit from me trying to get a new tool.

The material is 3/16" 304 SS and they are laser cut. Price should be approximately $20/shipped.

PM or email me for additional details/information.

Great idea and I am interested. IF you are going from a pdf version of the manual, however, odds are pretty good that the drawing is no longer 1:1.

Excellent point and I did grab the dimensions from the PDF version. Does anyone have a 968 FSM handy that can give me the height/width dimensions so I can ensure this will be the same size?

Haven't gotten into that area of the engine yet, but for $20 I'd probably be a buyer.

Ok, I should be getting the test/prototype gauge in the mail in a week or so, if it fits I'll have them do the full run. Thanks for the interest guys!

I'm in, but I agree that the profile needs to be from the original. Any luck with coming up with that?

Just curious - anybody have any idea what percentage of camshafts are missing the marks described in step 1 of the procedure? Mine had them, so I didn't need these blocks.
