Hi all,
This is my first post on rennlist and I would like to ask some questions about custom built 3.0L 16V turbo engines. To get your attention I'll first introduce my 968 with 3L turbo engine :
Spec:
3.0L 16v w/o Variocam
9,5:1 CR
PO H-profile forged rods
Oil pan baffel
Crank scraper
Cometic .060" 5 layer headgasket
Raceware headstuds
Holset HX40 super
3,5" downpipe, 3" exhaust
Tial 38mm wastegate
SnowPerformance water-methanol injection
3" aluminium intake piping
1400cc injectors
Mallory fuel pressure regulator
034 Motorsport ignition coils
VEMS V3.6
KEP stage 2 clutch and 4-pad disk
Engine produces 548bhp/695nm @ 1,2bar , pump gas (car is in everyday use)
This engine has proven its reliability for now but here comes my question, how far has anyone pushed 3L 16v engines? It would be nice if someone share their experiences, knowhow and problems (bottlenecks) for reliable use.
Thanks
