I am sure it has been posted but does anyone know what if any options were available for 968 cabriolet suspension ( and part numbers if poosible). I know MO30 ws not offered, and on 944 cabrio only non sport suspension.
Thanks

M030 would be too severe on a cab. All the additional stiffness from the suspension will transfer to the steering.
Cabs need a bit of give, so up to a point, a softer suspension is better that a harder one. I am currently using M474 struts with Koni sports in rears. They are a good compromise. A bit stiffer than factory but still much softer than M030.
A strut brace and under-chassis brace will add to torsional ridgidity as well.

So - Some advice on front suspension work? I have some increasing (in my mind maybe) Cowl shake over rough highway surfaces at about 60 mph. Cab is a Tip with 80,000 miles on the OEM front struts. I replaced the rears Shocks with new Bilstein's and that improved ride comfort - but did not change the shaking.
It is road speed and surface dependent - not engine speed as a downshift will not change the "shutter", which will go away on smooth surfaces. There is no steering wheel shimmy when this happens, it is all felt seat of the pants.
The wheels and tires were speed balanced On the car, and all suspension parts looked over by a suspension expert. Is it just that the old gas shocks have gone stiff as they aged? What are my options.

I have had my 944 cabrio since 1995, with stock suspension and I replaced it once with OEM in 2008. The car nvere exhibited any cowl shake or I should say minimum I was inmpressed with a 1991 car.
I did a OEM turbo conversion, and moved the oem m030 over, with fronts at 3/4 hard. The car shakes real bad you an feel it form front to back, then at 1/2 way still get some but car feels like it has a lot of lean in the turns.
Ride height was set to stock, but all from memory stock suspension combo spring/struts gave good handeling comfort solid ride and min shake.
With mo30 rears set to full soft there is a lot of squat as well.
