Default Deviated carpet in black with Cashmere

You don't see many of these. The chasmere interior cars usually have a matching cashmere carpet. It was a $67 option to get it in black.

My 951 has Cashmere seats with everything else in black. I don't know if this was an option of if someone replaced all 4 seats in a triple black optioned car. :shrugs:

Michelle,
The way you can usually tell is by the door panel carpet (which covers the speakers). If it is black, then it looks to be a factory deviated carpet car (like this one). If someone just replaces the carpets they usually don't go through the trouble of recovering these as well.

The buy-it-now on that car was $7900. The bidding has gone higher than that now - someone missed a deal!

Jeff: Mine is all black including the dash and panels. Pretty sure it's original. It's the seats I question. Never seen another like it.

Michelle,
Here is a photo of my old coupe. You can see how the door panels compare to the ones you see on the 968 listed. I'm not sure how they work on 944s.

I see it. Your interior code would say for sure what the car had. Unfortunately, no se habla 944s, so you'll have to find someone to translate for you. For 968s, they are a 2 character alpha code next to the paint code. If your car was a black/black 968 it would have a paint code of L700 and a interior code of LT (for black partial leather, the most popular).

Paint is L041, so is the interior. Since I know the paint code is black, I guess the interior is too. Looks like someone replaced the seats That explains why I have never seen this color combo!

I'll respond with a new question for the expert!

So how many Tiptronics are there with sport seats.....? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1992-...item1e6dda7a49 (no affiliation, etc.)

You should write a book about just the 968. You are an uber-expert! (Or maybe you have written a book, and I just don't know it.....)

This gives me an idea..... maybe I'll come up with dream options on a 968 and see if any ever have been produced

Take care!

Wow. That's pretty much my car with a Tip and 17" rims.

I don't know about that... you have to really want a tiptronic to buy one instead of a 6 speed.
