first drive of year
Oh what fun, took the 968 out for its 2012 maiden voyage. Ran perfect but did have a no start after initial startup and shutdown. Also check engine light comes on periodically. I am not too worried about it. It probably just needs some miles put on to clean out the older gas and gets things cirulated. I might also try cleaning the maf. It does run with very good power.

Did the same thing yesterday. Valvetrain made some noise for the first few minutes and she was a bit creaky initially. One of my only complaints about living somewhere that doesn't have year-round driving conditions is reviving the car every spring.

I also took mine out and got her washed and picked the daughter up from school where some silly 9-10 year old boys thought it was a lambo and she said "your wrong it's a Porsche"..lol Glad to have the car out again...

well yes,
of course i'm stoked he got to wring the car out....
but not before ribbing him a bit for being slightly less fortunate than some of us who got to drive our 968s all winter...
"huh ? what ? you had your car in storage ? LOL.
LOL; my car after sitting more than 30 minutes.
Raj will probably tell me to get a valve job, to which i will respond, "no worries. as long as the flappin' thing hasn't seized."
