hi guys, kicking around some track wheels and tires for this season, I made up a little table -

- it seems like the tire choices are better for the 18's. any thoughts about other wheels or tires for DE's ?

18" wheels are certainly the standard for track wheels these days. Lots of good deals on tires out there too.

Dunlop Direzza Star Spec have been awesome for DE, are relatively low cost, and available in 17 or 18".

IMO these cars work much better with a square setup, 9's with 275's on all corners.

Don't discount the Hankooks, they are as quick as Hoosier's and cost less than Nittos

Agree that Hankook make great tyres these days. The TD221 are very good R spec and the Z214 twin grooves are cheaper and quite similar in performance to the R6.

I'm thinking of the following setup...maybe...would the following setup work ?

Wheels: MY02
8 x 18
10 x 18

Tires: Hoosier R6
245.40.18 - rim width range is 8.0 to 9.5 and meas. rim width is 8.5
295.30.18 - rim width range is 9.5 to 11.0 and meas. rim width is 10.0
