968 engine have any oiling issues?
Hi,
Did the 968's engine suffer the #2 rod bearing and oil starvation issues that the 944 engines had? How do 968 engines do under hard autocross and track usage?
Thanks

I had issues with 968 engine on track when I was running my redline in the mid 7's. Spun #2 rod bearing in one engine and broke the #4 rod in another. I then lowered my rev limit to 6500 and had no further problems.
If you plan on running your engine hard, I would suggest doing a rebuild to make sure everything is up to snuff. At the very least, do the rod bearings.

I track mine for DE only and don't push it that hard, usually shift by 6200. In addition to rod bearings, I would also replace the oil pick up tube, chain and pads and if you haven't had the head gasket done, you might consider doing that as well. Ask me how I know.
