Default Sagging door

Anybody ever have a door start to sag on their car? I am having to lift on the driver's side door a little to close it or push on it with some force. What are the possible causes and solutions? Thanks.

I have seen it on another car. Looks like the plate that the door mounts to comes apart and needs to be tack welded.

Open the door an inch or two and watch the hinges as you lift the end of the door. You'll likely find the bottom hinge if flexing a lot, which indicates it has broken the welds that mount it inside the door.

In my case, I took the door off and took it to a shop to weld it back on. I did all of the grunt work, including cutting open a larger hole around the hinge plate and cleaning off the paint so the welder could get better access. The welder had it done in about 2 minutes and wouldn't take any money for the job.

Just a quick update, the top mount where it connects to the frame has a crack at the top and side of the plate. I'm guessing a body shop would be best for this type of repair?

Any decent body shop should be able to fix it right up. Nothing special about welding on these cars.

Mike thank you for the offer but I am in NY. I would like to take a picture of the crack and post it here for others to see but I have no idea how to post pictures on Rennlist.
